Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion – April 5
At the entrance we remember that Jesus entered Jerusalem humbly on a donkey. The children received him with loud cries of ‘Hosanna’. They can do that anew at the procession with the branches.
12:00 noon – Blessing of Branches, Procession and Mass of the Lord’s Passion – St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mexikoplatz 12. (Please bring your own palms/pussy willows if possible. (Coffee follows the mass.)
Holy Thursday – April 9
We begin the Easter Triduum of Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection, with the evening Mass of the Lord’ Supper. After Mass we accompany Jesus to the Garden of Gethsemane and are invited to respond to his invitation to “stay and pray with me for awhile”.

Good Friday – April 10
12:30 midday - Ecumenical Service at Christ Church (Jauresgasse) 3rd District.
16:30 p.m. – Celebration of the Lord’s Passion, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mexikoplatz 12.
This is the one-day of the year on which the Eucharist is not celebrated. However, we gather for the solemn reading of St John’s passion (Ch. 18-19) and in prayer intercede for the needs of the church and the world. We solemnly bend our knees and adore the holy cross: “We worship you, Lord, we venerate your cross, and we praise your resurrection. Through the cross you brought life to the world.”
Holy Saturday, The Easter Vigil – April 11
18:00 p.m. – Easter Vigil, St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mexikoplatz 12.
The Liturgy of Light and Exsultet – Liturgy of the Word – Liturgy of Baptism – renewal baptismal promises – Liturgy of the Eucharist
The Easter Vigil is liturgically the high point of the entire church year. We encourage as many as possible to celebrate this moving liturgy with us. Please try to set aside this evening to be with us. Easter “Agape” (wine and cheese) follows the Service
