Father Cyril Desbruslais s.j. will be leading a weekend retreat for adults from late Friday, 24 April to Sunday, 26 April 2009 after lunch, at the same monastery as in previous years, the Stift Vorau in Styria (www.stift-vorau.at). The theme for this retreat can be decided during the various bible discussion meetings to be held on a weekly basis when Father Cyril is here as of 21 March.
Please let Miryam Wedekind know if you will participate in this retreat as soon as possible, but no later than 20 March. This is the very last date to confirm the rooms with the Stift Vorau.
The cost per person per night will be Euro 48 in a double room and Euro 58 in a single room, including all meals (no change from last year). When you confirm your participation, your deposit for the total cost of your stay is needed. The room reservation cannot be guaranteed if no deposit has been made. Deposits should be made to Bank Austria-Creditanstalt account No. 51418 216 801, BZ 12000 in the name of Miryam Wedekind. There will be no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
Important: Please send a copy of your deposit slip (zahlschein) to Miryam Wedekind, Doeltergasse 42, A-1220 Wien. A scanned copy sent by e-mail is also fine. In many cases, the bank printout does not indicate the name of the person making the deposit.
Arrival time should be no earlier than 17:00 h. on Friday, 24 April. A
buffet supper will be served as of 18:30 h. in the club room.
How to get there:
By train: from Südbahnhof take the train to Rohrbach-Vorau (details under: http://www.oebb.at/pv/en/Servicebox/Train_schedule/index.jsp. Many people are taking the train this year, including Father Cyril himself.
By car: Once you get to the Stift Vorau (see map below), drive through the main entrance, turn right and follow the road to the end (it curves to the left), then turn left and drive through to the other side of the building, where you’ll find parking space.
You should then go to the Sekretariat – entrance on the left side of the church, first floor. Frau Geier will be there to hand you the key to your room. Rooms are on the ground and first floor. Cyril’s room is located on the second floor – Referentenzimmer.
