Almost every Sunday beginning October 1, there will be a separate Liturgy of the Word for children who have not yet received 1st Communion (approximately ages 4-6). Fr. Kevin calls the children to come before the sanctuary before the readings begin and they proceed to a small children’s chapel room for their own Liturgy of the Word. They return to their pews after the Prayer of the Faithful.
For the month of October Beth McHugh and Dianne Keller, who both helped last year, will be organizing this ministry, and both are willing to continue to help assist afterwards. Neither of them, however, is able to take ongoing responsibility for this ministry. Thus we are in need of some new volunteers. Teaching materials and guidance will be provided. Those who might be interested are asked to contact either Beth (367 1763), Deacon Greg or Fr. Kevin.
